When auto margin gaslights me

Ran an IOS > exocad 3.1 > hyperDENT chain at 2:07 a.m., set a 60 µm cement gap, and auto margin confidently traced the papilla like it was the prep… Is there a hidden checkbox for ‘stop trolling me’, or are we all re-marking margins while toolpaths recalc for the fifth time on a single #19?

Same here — after 2 a.m., auto margin chases papilla like it’s the prom date. I get cleaner picks by lasso-trimming the gingiva in Preparation Analysis first, then running ‘Detect margin by curvature’ with sensitivity down one notch; in hyperDENT, enable ‘Ask before recalculation’ so it doesn’t retoolpath every nudge — does that help, or should we add a ‘stop trolling me’ checkbox?

Quick fix that saved me at 2:07 a.m.: in exocad 3.1, paint a tight search band for margin detection and, if your scan has color, untick ‘use color for detection’ before Auto; then in hyperDENT, toggle off AutoUpdate so you’re not retoolpathing #19 five times. Not perfect, but it beats whispering ‘stop trolling me’ at the papilla; docs if needed: https://docs.exocad.com/dentalcad. Was that a color or mono scan?

But i totally agree on using reminders — i also like using @GoogleCalendar for syncing deadlines. Have you tried that tool?
